DGP sanctions scholarship for police wards

Srinagar, June 5: Director General of Police, Dr. S.P Vaid has granted scholarship of rupees 6,34,000 in favour of 137 wards of serving police personnel, who have secured eighty percent and above marks in annual examination of class 10th, during the academic session 2017.
The scholarship of Rs 6000 each have been granted in favour of 43 wards for securing above 90% marks and Rs 4000 each have been granted in favour of 94 wards who have secured eighty percent and above marks in the class 10th examination.
The scholarship have been granted out of the Central Police Welfare Fund. Police Headquarters has been sanctioning scholarships and rewards under different heads for the wards of martyred and serving Police personnel to boost their morale.
