JAMMU, Jan 29: Government College of Physical Education Ganderbal (GCPE), organized an All India tour for its postgraduate students which was flagged in by Navin Agarwal, Director General Youth Services and Sports in an impressive and well attended function, here today.
Earlier, the tour had begun on January 14, 2014 from Ganderbal and returned here after visiting various major cities of the country including Jaipur, Ajmer, Mumbai, Gwalior, Agra, Delhi and Patiala. During this tour, the students got opportunity of seeing renowned Physical Education Institutions of these places and also the NIS centre, Patiala, where they interacted with the students who have represented the country at the International level. The touring members also interacted with the faculty members of LNUPE Gwalior.
The touring students thanked the DG Sports for organizing this tour, which added to their knowledge in a big way and will be beneficial in their future.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Madan Lal, Joint Director, Dr Hartej Singh, Principal Government College of Physical Education Ganderbal and Kanchan Bala, Deputy Director Youth Services and Sports.
