UDHAMPUR, Dec 4: Director General (DG) of Rural Development Department (RDD) Jammu today visited Tikri and Udhampur blocks and inspected the ongoing works of PMAY houses.
Accompanied by SE REW, JD planning and ACD Udhampur, DG RDD, Rehana Batul, inspected PMAY houses and interacted with the beneficiaries to get feedback on the implementation of the scheme. In the course of the inspection of under construction houses, some deviations from the guidelines were observed and the erring officers and official s were strictly warned to rectify the same immediately.
The field functionaries were also instructed to adhere to the PMAY guidelines in letter and spirit and those found violating the norms were asked to be careful. Apart from PMAY houses, other works of Rural Development Department like foot bridges and foot paths, etc were also inspected.
The DG RDD instructed ACD Udhampur and BDOs concerned to ensure completion of all physical targets of financial year 2018-19 within the fixed time frame.
