SRINAGAR, July 1: Prakash Mishra, DG and K. Durga Prasad, Special DG, CRPF, called on N.N. Vohra, Governor, here at the Raj Bhavan today.
Mr. Misra briefed the Governor about the security arrangements being made for the safe conduct of the Shri Amarnathji Yatra.
The Governor discussed with Mr. Mishra certain issues relating to the functioning of Central Armed Police Forces in disturbed areas.
Prof. Amitabh Mattoo, former Vice Chancellor of the University of Jammu also called on Governor.
The Governor discussed with Prof. Mattoo, who is currently the Director of the Australia-India Institute and Professor of International Relations at the University of Melbourne, Australia, several issues relating to the advancement of higher education and research initiatives in J&K.
