JAMMU, Mar 1: The workers of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena (DFSS) under the leadership of its president, Ashok Gupta, took out a procession in Jammu City against the hike in the prices of the dairy products by 20%.
Gupta stated that the prices of the essential commodities are always hiked or slashed after consultation with consumer counsel, but the prices of the essential dairy products were hiked in a very baffled scenario, which just sounds nothing less than a scheme to benefit some people belonging to the trade.
He stated that the quality of the milk which is being supplied to the people is very adulterated as people have to compromise with their health in terms of the basic dairy. Gupta said that the hike in the prices of dairy products has disrupted and uprooted the budget of the common man, as the prices of vegetables and fruits are already inflated. He appealed the Government to withdraw the hike in the prices of dairy products.
