JAMMU, Mar 2: District Football Association (DFA) Pulwama, Shaheen Football Club Jammu and Jammu United registered convincing victories over their rivals in the ongoing 25th State Football Championship, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) at GGM Science College Football ground, here.
In the first match, DFA Pulwama got better of DFA Budgam in a close contest by five goals to four (5-4) via tie-breaker.
In another match, Shaheen Football Club Jammu defeated DFA Sopore by two goals to nil (2-0). The goals were scored by Ankit and Rishi.
In third and last match of the day, Jammu United scripted an upset win over J&K SRTC Football team by two goals to nil (2-0). Both the goals were scored by Varun from Jammu United.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Anantnag will take on Vijay Club Jammu at 9 am, Young Rovers Football Club will lock horns with Churchill Brothers at 2 pm, Jammu United Football Club will face DFA Srinagar at 3 pm and Shaheen Football Club will meet DFA Pulwama at 4:30 pm.
