JAMMU, Mar 13: Advisor to Governor, Parvez Dewan, accompanied by public representatives and senior engineers of R&B Department, today visited several areas of Jammu district and inspected various ongoing development projects being implemented by R&B Department.
The engineers briefed the Advisor about the status of ongoing development projects and other new projects.
While inspecting the projects, Dewan instructed engineers to use quality material in development works to ensure creation of durable assets for public. He asked them that quality of works, sustainability and timely completion of projects should be the benchmark and priority of the department.
“There will be no compromise on quality of works”, said the Advisor and exhorted upon the engineers to ensure presence of first line of engineers at project sites. He also asked the authorities of the department to mobilize field functionaries of the department and make monitoring mechanism more effective.
Parvez said that providing basic facilities to the public besides improving existing amenities is high on agenda of Governor’s administration. He said that special focus is being laid on mitigating the public issues within minimum possible time.
