DET organises Principals Conference on ‘Challenges Confronting School Heads in present era’

JAMMU, Jan 17: Dogra Educational Trust, Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana, Jammu organized a One Day Principals Conference on the topic, “Challenges & Issues Confronting the Heads of the Schools in Rural, Semi Urban & Urban Settings in the present Scenario”.
Prof. Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jammu was the chief guest in the inaugural function which started with the lighting of the traditional lamp, which was followed by Saraswati Vandana presented by the students of Dogra Degree College to invoke the blessings of Goddess Maa Saraswati.
Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak, Chairman, Dogra Educational Trust and Former Minister presided over the Conference. Prof CL Shivgotra and Prof NR Sharma were the Resource Persons.
Kr Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust, Kr Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Member Trustee, Dogra Educational Trust, Bela Charak, Director, Academics, SC Khajuria, Director, Administration and Campus Development, Dogra Educational Trust and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion after inaugurating the Conference, Prof Aima said that shape of education in India has undergone tremendous transformation, adding that Dogra Educational Trust has profound influence to give impetus to the society through its Educational Institution.
A large number of Principals from the Higher Secondary Schools affiliated to JKBOSE and CBSE of Jammu & Samba District and Principals of various Colleges participated.
Charak, in his presidential remarks highlighted the journey of 50 glorious years by the Dogra Educational Institutions to shape the Society and aspire young generation to touch new heights of glory.
Prof NR Sharma, Former Head of Department of Education, University of Jammu delivered a thought provoking key note address and Prof CL Shivgotra, from Govt. PG College of Education, gave the concluding remarks after a very exhaustive and useful discussion by all the delegates on the said topic.
Earlier, after the welcome address by Bela Thakur, Director, Academics, a brief introduction of Dogra Educational Trust was given by SC Khajuria, Director, Administration and Campus Development, Dogra Educational Trust.
Charak finally presented mementoes to all the participants.
