JAMMU, Dec 6: BJP MLC Surinder Ambardar today termed the recent statements of Farooq Abdullah wherein he offered support to separatists’ leaders in Kashmir valley as “schizophrenic symptoms of a man desperate for his and his parties’ political survival”.
Former Chief Minister seems to have been struck by amnesia as well as only last year in august when the NSA level talks with Pakistan were cancelled, he had blamed separatists for the cancellation of talks and had even said that they (separatists) are being funded by Pakistan and even called them as self-claimed champions of Kashmiris and now his pro-separatists rant is nothing more than a desperate attempt to gain headlines, MLC added.
Ambardar also said that Farooq Abdullah is a classic example of a person whose statements invariably change with the change of place and location as his statements in Kashmir are absolute mismatch to his statements in Jammu and Delhi and that is where the opportunistic politics of National Conference which they have been doing since last five decades comes to fore.
The matter of the fact is that Former Chief Minister is eyeing for the Srinagar Parliamentary seat which has fell vacant after the resignation of Tariq Qarra to whom NC Patron lost miserably in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections and that is the sole reason of his bizarre statements believing that common masses of Kashmir will fell for his age old rhetoric which is not the case now as the people in Kashmir have seen the abject failure of NC policies and leadership so their gimmicks will not yield them (NC) anything this time.
“NC does not fit in the bill by any standards as the history is testimony to the fact that Jammu and Kashmir remained undeveloped because of their failed political ideology and weak policies”, Ambardar added.
