JAMMU, Sept 27: A deputation of Mohalla Welfare Association, Shiv Nagar/Shanti Nagar, Jammu today met Chief Engineer, PHE Department, and urged him to address the water shortage problem in the area.
The association said that the festival season is going on but the households are not getting even regular supply of water. “Moreover, the water problem has aggravated due to leakages of supply lines at many places, particularly near Mandlik Nagar, behind Best Price but despite many representations to officers of PHE department, the repair of the supply line has not been done”, the association members alleged.
They urged the Chief Engineer to look into the matter personally so that they may get regular supply of water. They also suggested the Chief Engineer to dig a Tubewell at Shastri Nagar to address the issue of shortage of water.
