JAMMU, Oct 20: In order to show brotherhood and solidarity with the flood hit victims of J&K, the Income Tax Department has voluntarily donated one day’s salary of its staff and officers to the Prime Minister’s relief Fund.
In this regard, cheque amounting to Rs 1,01,764 was today sent by office to the Commissioner of Income Tax, J&K, to the Secretary, Prime Minister’s Relief Fund.
“This is a very small gesture to our brothers and sisters of Kashmir valley who suffered due to nature’s fury. This is to express our solidarity with them”, the Commissioner of Income Tax, J&K said today.
