Jammu, Jan 30:  Pradesh Congress Committee president GA Mir and AICC observer Narinder Budania (MP) has alleged that demonetization has derailed the economy in the country and brought many crisis for the lower middle class and poor people.
While speaking in one day convention of the PCC at Shaktinagar Jammu  today,  the senior Congress leaders  said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued a  dictatorial order of demonetization without adequate consultation with economic experts and without due preparations, which has totally derailed the economy activity in the country and badly affected each and every sector.
Budania said that the poor labours, farmers, daily earners and small business men were the worst hit while the rich and capitalist especially the black money holders were not affected as  was being claimed by Modi  and BJP. He said that Modi presented the issue in such a manner initially like he did during elections  about  bringing black money depositing Rs 15 lakh in the bank accounts of the common man. The innocent people believed that the demonetization would bring about some major relief to them but now  they realized that it was another bluff of Modi Govt.
PCC chief while lashing out at the Modi Govt, for its ill advised and ill-planned move, sought to know the benefits to the nation and the common man out of it. He said entire countrymen were lined up to withdraw their legitimate money and many lost lives but after the time limit given by Modi,   people now want to know the benefits and impact of the move which has adversely affected the economy and de-stabilized the  normal activities. He said that series of district wise and assembly wise programmes would be held in whole next month.
Mir also cautioned the people against the designs of the PDP-BJP to divert the attention of the people from their misrule and mis-governance. He said that the Panchayat Raj System has been made defunct and now they have diluted the Panchayat Raj law, to maintain defacto control by weakening the Panchayat Raj institutions.
Sham Lal Sharma while criticizing the Modi Govt for the demonetization which has worst hit the common man, questioned  BJP for its failure to respect the sentiments and aspirations of the people of Jammu region on each and every aspect. He said that BJP has always surrendered and hurt the sentiments of the people of the region and betrayed their mandate.
Former DyCM  Tara Chand also highlighted the failures of the State and Centre Government and said that they have failed to fulfill a single promise to the people. He also highlighted the issues of reservations of SCs/STs/ other reserved categories in promotions and blamed present government for its failure to safeguard their interests.
