This has reference to the news item ‘Demonetisation was tough decision’ DE May 27.
This may have been really a difficult decision to take for the Government as involved the repurcussion on India’s economy. The decision taken in the interest of the Nation had almost equal share of bouquets and bricks. With opposition parties criticising the Government for its ill-conceived decision, people had to suffer a lot. However, people appreciated the move, and lauded the Prime Minister for taking steps against menace of blackmoney in the country. Though demonetisation did not yield the desired result, it however woke up the citizens to corruption in country. The Government has to take many more hard decisions to eliminate black money and corruption in the country. However, it may be said here that Government alone can’t do the job, the citizen themselves have to come forward to fight corruption in the country.
It will require lot of determination, political will and cooperation of people to fight the menace.
