JAMMU, Jan 5: Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia today launched ‘Mind, Life & Reflections’ – a book penned by Payal Jain, a debutant author from Jammu and Kashmir encapsulating the journey of life and the life lessons.
The book was released in the presence of special guests including celebrated singer and musician, Anup Jalota, eminent writer and critic, Dr Usha Bande, Mrs India Universe 2017, Anisha Safaya and other dignitaries at the World Book Fair 2019, Pragati Maidan, Delhi.
New Delhi World Book Fair (NDWBF), held for over 45 years, is now a major calendar event in the publishing world. The Fair is organized by National Book Trust, India, an autonomous organization under the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development.
Speaking at the occasion, Manish Sisodia said, “I am happy to be here today and be part of an event working towards promotion of books and the habit of reading in the country. Encouraging authors like Payal who not only write to nurture their creative urges but also takes on the responsibility to bring about perspective changes that brings about positive changes in the outlook, is something we all must do.”
The book has won praises and accolades from renowned critics and influential figures including Nandita Das, Swara Bhaskar, and other profound personalities even before its official launch and is now available at online portals and at leading bookstores.
