Delhi CB registers FIR in Jammu man’s missing case

JAMMU, Nov 4: Crime Branch (CB) of Delhi Police has lodged an FIR in connection with missing of a Jammu based man in Bihar.
The FIR Number 0170 dated 25/09/2017 under Section 365 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was registered by Crime Branch after the directions of Delhi Court, the door of which was knocked by Binny Gupta, wife of Rakesh Gupta son, who went missing from Patna, Bihar on March 4, 2016 and is untraceable till date. Rakesh Gupta is son of TR Gupta, resident of 79 A/D, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
The Court also ordered that the case of tracing of Rakesh Gupta should be handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit of Delhi Police under the supervision of the concerned DCP and fresh notice should be issued to TR Gupta and his son Naresh Gupta in the case, as they had not turned up in the Court despite the fact that they were asked to appear before the Court.
Crime Branch, Delhi Police has started investigation into the case and its officers have already visited Jammu and some other places in pursuit of the investigation.
Before approaching Delhi Court, Binny Gupta also approached the Prime Minister; Joint Secretary, J&K; Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi; Inspector General of Police, Crime and Railways, J&K and SHO Police Station Gandhi Nagar, Jammu but all her efforts proved a futile exercise.
