Delay in disbursal of package

Sir,
‘Out of the frying pan into the fire’ proverb very well highlights, the plight of the beneficiaries of the package who despite all genuineness and completion of the required documents are still in queue. The embarrassment and hopelessness they are in due to inordiante delay in payment of the claims, is inexplainable. Obviously, 70 years old records are unmanageable to arrange especially where work culture has almost gone down in the era of corruption, favouritism and nepotism. What is more distressing is the fact that no intermediate agency exists to whom tale of woes could be told. Since delay breeds many ills, the authorities at the helm of affairs, must therefore, do the needful by relaxing some more conditions woven to the process of disbursement. An earlier clearance of the cases would pave the way for the next grant out of the already recommended amount for comprehensive rehabilitation of thousands of families who got migrated in 1947 and thereafter.
