Defer written test for posts of SIs: HC

JAMMU, Sept 27: High Court today directed Home Secretary, Director General of Police and Police Recruitment Board to defer written test for the posts of Sub-Inspectors for Rajouri-Poonch candidates.
The direction was passed in a petition filed by some candidates.
After hearing Advocate Abhinav Sharma appearing for the petitioners, Justice Tashi Rabstan issued notice to Home Secretary, DGP and Police Recruitment Board and ordered that subject to objections from the other side and till next date of hearing, respondents shall defer the written test for the posts of Sub Inspectors in Executive/Armed Wings of J&K Police so far it pertains to Rajouri and Poonch districts until further orders from this court.
Earlier, during the course of hearing Advocate Abhinav Sharma submitted that one day before the commencement of the Physical Endurance Test / Physical Standard Test for the candidates of Poonch and Rajouri districts in District Police Line Ground, Rajouri, there was rain due to which track became rough with mud and pits.
“The petitioners approached the SSP Rajouri bringing to his notice that the DPL Ground was not find for Physical Endurance Test but no action was taken by the concerned authorities”, he further submitted.
