DDC reviews progress of development activities at Shiv Khori Shrine

REASI, Jan 29: To take stock of various developmental activities being carried out at Shri Shiv Khori Shrine, District Development Commissioner Ravinder Kumar accompanied by team of officers of district administration visited the world famous site today.
The DDC inspected ongoing construction work of overhead safety sheds in front of caves being constructed by Works Department to avert sudden stone falls on main track for which he instructed the concerned to speed up the progress for its early completion.
He visited the cave and inspected the location of expected live Aarti. The DDC asked the concerned to install railings at selected places besides undertaking other minor repair works inside holy cave and setting up of control room for MH1 channel outside it. He asked the concerned for shifting of donation counter at Bhojnalya from its existing location.
He further directed the officers for providing water connectivity to pony shed and proper survey of the approach road from new bus stand to Hotel Tridev. Meanwhile, Tehsildar was also asked to prepare revenue papers for pony shed at Ransoo.
The DDC asked the Manager SSKSB for improvement of bedding system at Gouri Bhawan and preparation of detailed project reports for renovation of rooms at Shiv Shakti Bhawan.  He also inspected the toilet complex which stands completed in all respect and fit for public utility. He stressed on the Executive Officer for maintaining cleanliness in and around the revered shrine.
Later, he interacted with the pilgrims and took feedback regarding different arrangements put in place for them at various places.
Further, the team of officers also took round of Ransoo market where the DDC emphasized for early completion of all development works particularly the upgradation of market road. Pertinently, the completion of road will ease the traffic congestion during ensuing Maha Shivaratri Mela.
Earlier, Executive Officer SSKSB also informed that on an average 2000 pilgrims are performing holy Darshan of Shri Shiv Khori Shrine every day.
