POONCH, Feb 22: District Development Commissioner, Rahul Yadav today visited Shiv Khori Mandir, Poonch to review the arrangements being put in place for the upcoming Mahashivratri Mela.
The DDC was accompanied by SSP Poonch, Additional SP, Executive agencies and other concerned officers.
During the visit, the DDC interacted with the members of Shiv Khori Committee and discussed in detail all the necessary arrangements for peaceful and successful conduct of this religious event. He asked the district officers, social workers and prominent citizens of the district to work in tandem so that the event be celebrated with great enthusiasm.
The DDC directed the Executive Engineers of PHE and PDD besides the CEO Municipality to provide regular water supply, electricity and cleanliness in and around the shrine area during festival. He also directed the concerned for putting in place arrangements like sanitation, traffic plans, medical facilities, security, etc.
