DDC Kupwara takes stock of ongoing developmental works

KUPWARA, Nov 5: District Development Commissioner, Kupwara Khalid Jahangir, along with officers and engineers of different departments took stock of ongoing developmental projects at different places in Kupwara, Langate, Mawar, Hangah, Mugalpora, Zamanpora, Nowgam and Lawoosa to inspect the progress on these projects carried out by the different executing agencies.
The visiting dignitary impressed upon the executing agencies for timely completion of these projects under the instructions of Chief Minister’s commitments during the recent visit to Kupwara.
On the occasion, the DDC directed JKPCC to complete the works on District Hospital Kupwara, Government Degree College at Sogam, Auditorium within the month’s time.
The PHE Department was directed to provide the drinking water supply from Mugalpora-Zamanpora Water Supply Scheme. The Filtration Plants at Lawoosa, Langate were also inspected for repairing and revamping.
The DDC also inspected the Hot Mixed Macadam Plant at Nowgam and several issues were discussed with Beacon authorities. He directed concerned officials to complete the macadamization process of Chotipora-Nowgam road in stipulated time frame.
The several public deputations also met DDC and apprised him about the problems and demands confronting to the public of the visiting areas. He gave them patient hearing and assured them redressal of grievances at earliest.
Khalid Jahangir also paid visit to Mawar Tulwari Langate to inquire about the implementation of instruction given to the monitoring committee constituted to oversee the illegal extractions in Nallahs, which has been already restricted by the district administration on the guidelines of the High Court. Illegal extracting tools like spades and shovels were seized involved in illegal extraction of nalla produce during the inspection of the areas.
