DDC Ganderbal inaugurates 3-day Khadi exhibition

GANDERBAL: District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Dr. Piyush Singla today inaugurated a three-day district exhibition organized by Khadi and Village Industries Board in the premises of Mini Secretariat, DC Office Complex here.

Member JK KVIB, Masarat Kar, Deputy Chief Executive Officer KVIB, Muzzaffar Allaqaband, District Officer KVIB, Mehraj-ud-din Farooqi and other concerned were also present on the occasion.

The DDC visited various stalls which displayed a variety of Khadi items. He was informed that 10 stalls have been installed in the three-day long exhibition.

Speaking on the occasion, the DDC Ganderbal said that the district administration would leave no stone unturned to help unemployed youth get seed money from banks to start their own enterprise.

The DDC instructed KVIB authorities to organize such programmes in future and also in rural areas too in order to generate awareness among the masses regarding various employment generating schemes.

It was said that the main objective of organizing such events is to provide marketing avenues to the artisans, unitholders financed by the Board under Khadi and PMEGP.
