KISHTWAR, Jan 2: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana convened a public grievances redressal camp at Nowapachi Marwah in which a large number of people from various villages of Marwah participated.
DDC was accompanied by SSP Kishtwar Abrar Chowdhary, Executive Engineer PHE, Abdul Wahid Zarger, Executive Engineer PWD Marwah, RC Kundal and CMO Kishtwar, Dr Abdul Majid.
The people projected their demands in respect of shortage of doctors, non functional of BSNL network, shortage of ration in Government outlets, enhancement of air service quota and land compensation of various roads.
They also demanded to provide medical and character certificates at local level, link road between Kaderna to Pathamgham, solar lights, early completion of Kaderna Bridge, check absenteeism of Government employees, enhancement of compensation of Government Degree College Marwah land, disbursement of relief to flood victims of 2014, rehabilitation and resettlement due to construction of dam and construction of playground in Marwah.
DDC passed directions to Tehsildar concerned for identification of State land so that the playground will be constructed at Nowapachi.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC Kishtwar instructed the CMO to send the medical team for the issuance of medical certificates at Marwah and Warwan so that people of this far flung area may not suffer.
He assured the public that all the demands putforth will be look into on priority basis and instructed Tehsildar Marwah to send the attendance of the employees on daily basis to the DC office.
Meanwhile, SSP Kishtwar Abrar Ahmad Chowdhary also advised to the SHO Marwah to issue character certificate to the applicants with regard to seeking of admission in the educational institutions and applying for various jobs. He said that there is no need for issuance of such certificate at SSP level.
