DCC leadership gears up for coming ULB elections

JAMMU, Aug 6:  District Congress Committee Jammu Urban  today geared  up for the coming Urban Local Bodies elections in meeting held under the presidentship of  Vikram Malhotra at the PCC  headquarter Shaheedi Chowk Jammu.
An extended executive meeting of DCC along with Block presidents, Ward presidents and other functionaries of DCC was held to discuss the preparedness for the upcoming elections to the Urban Local Bodies and the total failure of the BJP-PDP in the past.
The executive meeting of DCC along with Block presidents, Ward presidents and other functionaries of District Congress Committee was held to discuss the preparedness for the upcoming elections to the urban local bodies and the total failure of the BJP-PDP coalition in living upto the expectations of the people of Jammu.
Former Minister Raman Bhalla, vice president Kanta Bhan, general secretary Namrata Sharma, SS Shingari- contesting candidate Jammu West were also present and spoke on the occasion.
The meeting was addressed by all the  Block presidents and functionaries of DCC and BCC. It was resolved in the meeting that the Congress Party will take the fight to the  streets and expose the misrule of BJP-PDP Govt and the  fraud  that had been played by the BJP with the people of Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion Bhalla said that time has come to expose the real face of the BJP in front of the electorate. The divisive politics and  hollow slogans raised by the BJP lay fully exposed before the people of Jammu and any effort to further mislead the people of the state will not be tolerated.
Malhotra while addressing the party men urged upon them to unitedly fight the opposition parties and asked them to connect at the grass root level and highlight the problems being faced by the people of Jammu,  where even basic facilities like water, electricity and ration have not been provided.
Prominent amongst others who spoke includes   Thomas Khokher, BB Gupta, Mian Nazir Ahmed, Dr Ramakant Khajuria, Madan Lal Malager, Naresh Maini, Vijay Singh Chib, Gourav Chopra, Kulbushan Sharma and others.
