LEH, Nov 6: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Avny Lavasa visited PAGIR society and interacted with differently abled person.
She was accompanied by SSP Leh Sargun Shukla.
On the occasion, DC inaugurated a common prayer hall where all PAGIR member with different faith can sit together to offer prayer.
While going through the different products made out of tailoring and papers waste by differently abled person, she highly appreciated the PAGIR member for converting waste into different useful products.
It is to mention here that PAGIR a different abled person society is actively working for the welfare of the specially abled persons in the region from more than 10 years.
Earlier, welcoming the guests PAGIR President Mohd Iqbal made some demand before the DC, which includes drinking water, establishment of a Skill Development Centre at PAGIR and to make ramps in Government building for easy accessibility.
After giving a patient hearing, DC assured best possible help to PAGIR from District Administration. She also added that apart from contributing towards society PAGIR is also providing employment opportunities to many youths of Ladakh.
Anjuman Imamiya President Ashraf Ali Barcha and BDO Leh were also present on the occasion.
