DC unveils Ladakh based Lifestyle & Tourist Magazine ‘Sintic’

Leh, Aug 8: Deputy Commissioner Leh Anvy Lavasa here today unveiled Ladakh’s only Lifestyle and Tourist Magazine ‘Sintic’ started by two young entrepreneurs Rinchen Dolker and Sonam Dolker with an aim to entertain and educate the community.
Sintic is an auspicious bird in Ladakh. Lower Leh Councillor P. Wangdan Shunu was also present on the occasion.
Deputy Commissioner, Avny Lavasa in her speech hailed the young girls for such initiatives and stressed for the need of such more young entrepreneurs rather than waiting for Government job.
Assuring support from administration to such entrepreneurs she also urged them to try new things to know their potential.
Lower Leh Councillor P. Wangdan Shunu appreciating the young girls for taking such big step to start magazine said that Ladakh needs such more young entrepreneurs and Government also provides financial support on low interest rates to young entrepreneurs.
Urging the youth to enter into politics he added that vacuum has been created into Ladakhi politics where the young are reluctant to enter politics thus veteran leaders are serving for years but now time has come for the youth to enter into politics.
He further said that politics is not bad if one play clean and Ladakhis are known for playing clean politics.
Mentioning about their magazine Sonam and Rinchen shared that motive behind ‘Sintic’ is to give a platform to young generation to explore their talent and to boost the tourism sector in Ladakh. Designed by Raja Dorjay and photographed by Rigzin Lampa, the magazine is full of young models from Ladakh showcasing the local talent.
