DC takes stock of people’s grievances

JAMMU, May 11: To listen and solve public grievances, District Development Commissioner Jammu, Rajeev Ranjan today convened a public grievances redressal camp at Marh.
The people from across Marh and adjoining areas put forth their demands which mainly relating to upgrading of power and water supply, adequate staff in Government schools, enrolment of Aadhaar card, ration card, medicare facilities and updating of voter lists.
The DDC while interacting with the people directed the concerned officers to make all out efforts to mitigate the sufferings of the people. He stressed for close coordination and synergy among various departments so that the genuine demands of the people are redressed in a stipulated time frame. He also directed the concerned departments to furnish details of requirements for upgrading the public infrastructure, where ever need is felt.
Describing public participation essential for better development, the DDC asked the people to coordinate with administration and personally monitor the development works being executed in their respective areas.
Among others, SDMs, Tehsildars, BDOs besides officers of major departments including executive engineers of R&B, PWD, PDD, PHE, Revenue, RDD were also present on the occasion.
