DC suspends CVPPCL employee for instigating people to protest, FIR lodged

KISHTWAR, Nov 7: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana today ordered suspension of an employee of Chenab Valley Power Project Corporation Limited (CVPPCL), beside ordered for immediate cancellation of permits of two vehicle owners involved in blocking the National Highway near Bhaderkoot on Kishtwar-Chatroo-Sinthan National Highway.
“Whereas the blockage of the road caused inconvenience to the general public, employees deployed at various examination centers and the patients coming for their medical check up in the District Hospital Kishtwar”, the DDC Kishtwar order reads.
During the investigation of the matter, Saleem Wani, who is working as Engineer in CVPPCL was placed under suspension with immediate effect, who was found instrumental in instigating the public for blocking the road.
DC in an order passed today termed blocking of National Highway as grave offence which caused lot of inconvenience to the people, students, patients and other people traveling on this road and directed SSP Kishtwar to register FIR against the persons involved in putting the general public to unnecessary harassment by blocking the National Highway.
Meanwhile, SSP Kishtwar was also advised to lodge an FIR against all the persons who were involved in instigating people of the area for blocking the National highway. Besides, ARTO Kishtwar was directed to cancel the route permits of the two vehicles.
When contacted, DC Kishtwar said that a case under relevant Sections has been registered at Kishtwar Police Station against the persons instigating the people to protest.
