DC provides financial assistance to shelling victim’s family

POONCH, Oct 3: Deputy Commissioner, Tariq Ahmad Zargar, alongwith SSP Poonch Rajive Panday today visited the house of Mohammad Sadiq, who was killed in yesterday’s cross border firing and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner handed over Rs one lakh as financial relief to NoKs of late Mohammad Sadiq.
During the visit to LoC areas, the DC and SSP met with prominent people and listened to their hardships.
They appealed the people of forward vulnerable areas of LoC to shift their families to safer places which had already been identified by the district administration.
However, he said that the residents are reluctant to migrate from the affected villages because of peak season of reaping nowadays  called as “ASSU”.
