DC discusses revenue related issues with SDMs

JAMMU, Dec 10: Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Kumar Rajeev Ranjan convened a meeting with Sub Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) besides other senior functionaries to discuss vital revenue related issues.
SDM Marh S. Paramjeet Singh, SDM Aknoor Sunaina Sharma, SDM Jammu South Sonu Pargal, SDM R. S. Pura Naresh Kumar, SDM Jammu North Mohd Alyas Khan, SDM Chouki Choura Jasmeet Singh, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Nisar Ahmed Shad and other senior officers of Revenue Department were present in the meeting.
Deputy Commissioner discussed one time settlement of displaced persons of 1965 and 1971. He directed the concerned officers to speed up the process of preparation of DP file and complete the same by December 15.
While discussing Ring Road project, Kumar Rajeev Ranjan asked to complete the process of handing over the possession of land coming under the alignment of the ring road. He also discussed revenue issues with regard to widening of Jammu-Akhnoor road project. SDMs apprised the DC about the villages coming under the alignment of the Jammu-Akhnoor road in their respective jurisdiction.
He also directed SDMs to submit details about status of JDA land and ensure completion of demarcation process of the same at the earliest.  SDMs were directed to provide the demarcation by painted marks in blue colour. He further directed them to hold weekly meeting with the revenue field staff. It was informed that out of 83 villages, the demarcation process has been completed in 33 villages.
The meeting also discussed other issues which included court cases, availability/non-availability of State land in lieu of forest land coming under the alignment of road from Tanda to Kapain De Bhan, acquisition of land at village Gandharwan, Bandral Kalan and Ambaran in Akhnoor tehsil besides other areas by the Army for defence purpose.
