KISHTWAR, Dec 3: Deputy Commissioner (DC), Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana today chaired a meeting of senior citizens, political representatives and general public here today.
PO IWMP Inderjeet Parihar, DPO Kishtwar, Sunil Butyal, District Social Welfare Officer Kishtwar, Phulail Singh, Tehsildar Kishtwar Tanveer ul Majeed and other district officers were also present in the interactive session.
Various issues pertaining to development, social evils and challenges of the society were discussed in the meeting including issues related to the basic facilities available in the town including sanitation, water facilities, road connectivity, availability of ration and electricity, shortage of medicines in health centers, low production of saffron and other public requirements.
On the occasion, DC passed direction to the district officers to redress the issues of the general public at the earliest.
The prominent who spoke on the occasion included Som Nath Sharma, Manmohan, Jagdish Raj Aryan, Pardeep Parihar, Haji Ghulam Hassan, Shabir Ahmed Kamal, Mushtaq Ahmed Haq, Khursheed Ahmed Dev, Ajaz Naik, Shakir Sidiqui, Arshad Hussain Giri, Pyare Lal Shah, Anil Parihar, Umar Malik, Surekha Sen, and others.
Meanwhile, the senior citizens, political representatives and general public criticized the organizations which attempt to communalize the administrative actions taken by the DC in the interest of the general public. They assured the DC that the general public of Kishtwar district is with him in his actions against the non serious officers and employees in the district.
However, after giving patient hearing to the participants, DC assured that he would be always available for the service of the public. He also assured them for early disposals of daily basis grievances of the public.
