JAMMU, Sept 1: 52nd foundation day of Dewan Vidya Mandir Amarvilla was celebrated in the premises of School, here today.
The celebration started with hoisting of school flag by Leela Karan Sharma, who took the salute at the march past.
A colourful cultural programme also presented on the occasion.
The other highlights of the day long programme were prayer and patriotic songs, dances to the tune of some songs.
A dance sequence by the students was the eye catchers which enthralled the audience, besides, speeches and skits were also presented on this occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Sharma presented the brief history of the school and highlighted the achievements in past 52 years.
Principal of the school, Dr Baljeet Singh presented welcome address.
The students were provided refreshments after conclusion of the function. Later, the awards were presented to the students excelled in various fields.
