JAMMU, May 25: In the Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Kirpal Chand seeking to know the preparedness of the State in dealing with earthquakes and other disasters, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice Janak Raj Kotwal today sought appearance of Director Disaster Management.
After hearing Advocate Munish Sharma for the PIL whereas Advocate General for the State, the DB observed, “Advocate General submits that the court order dated April 11, 2017 has been conveyed to Director Disaster Management but he has not complied with”, adding “we have been left with no option but to direct Director Disaster Management to appear on next date of hearing”.
