JAMMU, Aug 4: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Citizens Forum seeking widening of Ambphalla-Janipur and Janipur-High Court roads, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur and Justice Sanjay Kumar Gupta has granted final opportunity of two weeks for placing on record a decision taken on the report of RITES.
When the PIL came up for hearing, Advocate Aditya Sharma appearing for the petitioner submitted that there was a direction by the court to the Planning and Finance Departments to submit report on DPR submitted by RITES for the widening of road from Ambphalla to Janipur and Janipur to High Court.
“The report is still awaited”, he further submitted.
Taking serious note of this, Division Bench granted final opportunity of two weeks for placing on record a decision taken on the report of RITES.
