JAMMU, Mar 29: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) regarding misappropriation of food grains meant for public, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir and Justice BS Walia today granted four weeks time for filing latest status report.
After hearing Advocate SK Shukla appearing for the PIL, DB observed, “in terms of order dated July 7, 2015 six weeks time was granted for filing status report indicating the steps taken by the Government to enforce recoveries, as also indicate the action proposed against the erring officers/officials”.
“Advocate General DC Raina has sought some time so that a detailed status report is filed, that will help in addressing the grievances of the other party”, the DB said while granting four weeks time for filing latest status report.
