DB grants 4 weeks time for filing compliance report

JAMMU, July 12: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking establishment of eye-bank, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice BS Walia today granted four weeks time for filing compliance report.
When the PIL came up for hearing, Senior AAG H A Siddiqui submitted that the Principal, Government Medical College, Jammu has already approached the Health and Medical Education Department for setting up of the Swine Flu Lab. “The attempts shall be made to set up the Swine Flu Lab with the assistance of Central Government Body dealing with diagnosis and management of infectious disease, namely, National Centre for Disease Control, Delhi”, he added.
He further brought to the notice of DB that on July 11, 2017, tenders were floated for procurement of equipments for setting up of eye bank in Government Medical College, Jammu.
Accordingly, DB granted four weeks time for filing compliance report.
