Darakhshan kicks off campaign in Sonawar

Srinagar, Nov 23 : Dr Darakhshan Andrabi, the strong Muslim face of Bhartiya Janta Party in Kashmir and the contesting candidate from of party from Sonawar in Srinagar against Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, today started her door- to- door campaign in the constituency.
Earlier, she held two-round meetings with the youth and the respected citizens of all the blocks and wards of the constituency for five days. Alongwith the core group of her campaign she started the door-to-door campaign from Batwara today where she received great response from the public.
She visited more than many houses and then shifted to Shalimar area. She requested the people to come out in large number for voting.
Speaking to the people in Batwara Dr Darakhshan Andrabi said that she will fight for the complete rehabilitation of the flood hit people. She told the locals that they have seen her with rescue teams during the flood days helping people as a volunteer and she will fight for their rehabilitation with that spirit. She criticized the Government for their relief cheques of Rs 3800/- for those whose houses got completely damaged. She appealed to the Prime Minister to devise a mechanism to give substantial relief to the flood hit people so that they are able to reconstruct their damaged houses. She hailed the PMs decision of transferring the relief to the people directly through their bank accounts.
Dr Darakhshan also visited Shalimar area and appealed to the people to vote for BJP. Criticizing NC and PDP for their exploiting politics, the said that empowerment of youth is her agenda and she assured the people that as a representative of the area she will change the fate of the people of this constituency. Speaking a gathering at Nishat Dr Andrabi said that whole of the state has seen the fate of the doctrines of PDP and NC. “While PDP seeks self-rule for Muftis, NC advocates Autonomy for Abdullahs and now their fate is defeat. Both of these  parties will be uprooted by voters.
