SRINAGAR, Nov 18: Dangarpora Daredevils team defeated Acchabal team by 37 runs in summit clash and lifted the Sopore Cricket Premier League Junior Cup organised under the aegis of 5 Sector Rashtriya Rifles at Government Higher Secondary School, Dangarpura.
On the valedictory function, Major General Sarath Chand, GOC (K) Force was the chief guest, who distributed prizes among the winner and runner up teams in presence of Brigadier JP Mathew, CDR 5 Sector, SDM Sopore, SP Sopore, Principal, GHSS, Dangarpora, Ghulam Rasool Kar, Ex-MP, Mohd Ashraf Ganai, MLA, Sopora, Haji Abdul Rashid Dar, Ex-MLA, CO of Conducting unit and 92, 177 and 179 CRPF.
Shabir Ahmed Pandit of Dangarpora Daredevils bagged both man of the match and man of the series award.
While speaking, GOC stressed upon the importance of sports in nation building and motivated the participants to get prepare for the future tournaments.
