CVC briefs Governor about VC’s functioning

SRINAGAR, Sept 24: Kuldeep Khoda, Chief Vigilance Commissioner (CVC), Jammu and Kashmir, called on Governor N.N. Vohra, here at the Raj Bhavan today, and briefed him about the functioning of the Vigilance Commission and the various objectives achieved since the Commission’s establishment.
Mr. Khoda apprised the Governor about the to-date status of the complaints received by the Commission, their disposal and the conclusions arrived at by the CVC for making the institution more effective and result oriented in eradicating the menace of corruption, particularly by establishing deterrence against the corrupt elements in the State.
The Governor asked the CVC to lose no time in putting in place all required steps for the speedy disposal of graft cases pending with the Commission.
