Currency garlands worth Rs 21000 burgled from shop

KATHUA, Feb 24: The unidentified burglars today struck a cosmetic shop on Sanghi Morh Road and decamped with currency garlands worth Rs 21000.
According to the reports, during the intervening night of February 23 and 24 some unidentified burglars broke open the shutter of a shop and decamped with 10 currency garlands used in marriages. Each garland was worth Rs 2100.
The theft came to light in the morning when the shop owner namely Sansar Chand son of Munshi Ram, resident of Chappakiki, came to the shop as usual to open it and found the lock of the shop broken.
The shopkeeper had lodged a theft complaint at police post Chadwal.
