Srinagar, May 29:  Authorities today said that curfew like restrictions will continue in parts of Kashmir valley and educational intuitions will remain closed tomorrow as separatists have called for march to Tral in South Kashmir.
District Magistrate Srinagar, Dr Farooq Lone, said here that in view of the prevailing law and order situation, strict restrictions will remain imposed tomorrow (May 30) within the territorial jurisdiction of seven Police Stations of Srinagar district, including Khanyar, Nowhatta, Safakadal, M R Gunj, Rainawari, Kralkhud and Maisuma. He ordered that all the colleges and schools in district Srinagar will remain closed tomorrow.
Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan said class work in all the schools/Higher Secondary Institutions and Colleges of Kashmir valley shall remain suspended tomorrow (May 30) as a precautionary measure.
The curfew like restrictions continued in parts of Kashmir today while in rest of the Valley normal life remained paralysed due to strike called by separatists against the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander, Sabzar Bhat, his associate and a civilian on Saturday in Tral area of Pulwama district.

The curfew like restrictions were imposed in most parts of the Valley including the Srinagar areas falling under the jurisdiction of seven Police Stations. The restrictions, according to the officials, were imposed to thwart any possible protests against the killings.
Huge contingents of police and paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were deployed in parts of Srinagar and other sensitive areas to prevent any protests and clashes. They had erected concertina wires on the main roads to prevent the vehicular and pedestrian movement.
Shops, colleges and schools and business establishments remained closed while the traffic was off the roads. Majority of the roads wore deserted look.
Minor clashes were reported in few areas of Srinagar, Tahab in Pulwama, Batapora area of Sopore and Trehgam, Kupwara today.
The train services also continued to remain suspended on the second consecutive day today here due to security reasons. The prepaid mobile telephone services also remained suspended since Saturday evening.
Besides suspension of outgoing and incoming call facility on prepaid mobile phones and the mobile internet services remained suspended in the Valley today.
As per police statement, situation remained peaceful and under control throughout Kashmir valley. “A stray stone pelting incident was reported from Tahab in Pulwama. No injury was reported till filing of this report. A group of miscreants pelted stones on 182 CRPF Camp at Tahab. Police and security forces used maximum restraint and chased them away. However, restrictions under Section 144 CrPC remained imposed in some vulnerable areas of the Valley to thwart any untoward incident,” it said.
