JAMMU, Feb 22: The Cultural and Literary Festival ‘Yuv Tarang’ being organized under the aegis of Cluster University of Jammu concluded at Govt PG College for Women Gandhi Nagar, here today.
Skits were performed by the students on day-3 of the event today.
The first prize was won by SPMR College of Commerce, while the 2nd prize went to Govt PG College for Women, Gandhi Nagar Jammu and the 3rd prize was bagged by GGM Science College Jammu. The judges of the event were Anil Kumar, Nee Kumar, A Bharti, Sumit Sharma and Arushi Thakur.
Earlier, on the second day of ongoing Fest, Mime, Mono Acting and Mimicry were preformed.
On this occasion, Jatinder Khajuria, Registrar, Cluster University of Jammu, Dr Kaushal Smotra, Principal, Govt PG College for Women, Gandhi Nagar Jammu, Dr Twinkle Suri, Dean Students Welfare, Prof Aekta Gupta, Coordinator, Yuv-Tarang and Convener Culture and Literary Committee were present.
In the performing Arts/Natak students from all the five colleges of Cluster University of Jammu participated.
In Mime 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes were bagged by students of GGM Science College, Govt PG College for Women Gandhi Nagar Jammu and SPMR College of Commerce respectively. In Mono Acting, the 1st prize was clinched by Prashant Sareen of SPMR College of Commerce, whereas both 2nd and 3rd prizes went in favour of Sushmita Banerjee and Priya Sharma of Govt PG College for Women Gandhi Nagar Jammu. Priya Sharma of Govt PG College for Women Gandhi Nagar Jammu was adjudged 1st in Mimicry Competition. The adjudicators of these events were Manas, from 91.9 Red FM and Naushad Shazi a renowned Theatre Artist of the State.
Shruti and Anjali were the time keepers and Asmita Sahni and Seerat Bajji coordinated the programme.
