CUJ to hold Nation Security Seminar today

JAMMU, Feb 8: The Central University of Jammu (CUJ) is going to organize Nation Security Seminar-2019 on “Trans-boundary Issues in South Asia’, Indus Water Treaty & Indo-Pak Relation”, here at the School of Business Studies, Jammu University, on February 9.
This was informed by G Parthasarathy, Chancellor of the CUJ and former Indian Ambassador, while l addressing media persons, here today.
Accompanied by Prof Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jammu and Prof Amitabh Mattoo, Professor JNU, the Chancellor disclosed that Governor Satya Pal Malik will inaugurate the seminar.
“We are looking, especially problems of interests in J&K. I was suggested by Vice Chancellor Prof Ashok Aima and endorsed by Prof Mattoo to have a conference here primarily for students, ” the Chancellor said and added that the students from CUK will be taking part in programme, and Chancellor Central University of Kashmir (CUK), Lt Gen Syed Ata Hussain (Retd), Vice Chancellor CUK will also participate in the seminar.
He further informed that programme is divided into two sessions i.e first session on Indus Water Treaty and second session on ‘Indo-Pak Relations: The Way Forward’.
The Seminar is being organized by Department of Nation Security Studies, CUJ.
