CUJ faculty receives Young Scientist Award

JAMMU, Jan 9: Dr Tanuj Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Nano Science and Materials, Central University of Jammu (CUJ), Jammu received Young Scientist Award from Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Delhi.
He submitted a project to SERB last year under title “Fabrication and electron transport characteristics of silicon nanowires” and got approval of said project of an amount of Rs 36 lakhs for three years to complete this project.
It is a matter of great pride that Dr Tanuj Kumar has also received another IUAC- UFR project from Inter University Accelerator Centre (IUAC), Delhi and UGC, New Delhi in the title “Importance of Amorphous/ Crystalline Interface in Nanoscale Surface Pattering of Si (100) using Ion Beam” which is an amount of Rs 12 lakhs for three years to complete this project.
Both the Projects will be started soon by Principal Investigator in Department of Nano Science and Materials, CUJ in collaboration with Inter University Accelerator Centre, New Delhi.
Prof Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor of Central University of Jammu and Prof SK Khosa, HoD Department of Nanosciences and Materials have hailed this achievement of Dr Tanuj Kumar and wished him success for his future endeavour.
