Crude palm oil futures up on firm global cues

NEW DELHI, Jan 21: Tracking a firm global trend, crude palm oil prices rose by Rs 1.30 to Rs 451.50 per 10 kg in futures trade today.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in February month rose by Rs 1.30, or 0.29 per cent, to Rs 451.50 per 10 kg in business turnover of 92 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in January traded higher by Rs 1.20, or 0.27 per cent, to Rs 443.70 per 10 kg in 79 lots.
Market analysts said fresh position created by speculators in tandem with a firm global trend mainly led to rise in crude palm oil prices at futures trade.
Meanwhile, palm oil for delivery in April climbed 1.2 per cent to USD 804 a tonne on the Malaysian Derivatives Exchange. (PTI)
