CRPF Volleyball tournament concludes

Kathua, Feb 26: Kathua Club A team won the Volleyball tournament, organized by CRPF 121 Bn at Sports Stadium, here.
The Tournament was held under Civic Action Programme to channelize the energy of youth towards sports activities.
The final match was played between Kathua Club A and Gurra Mundian Club Hiranagar.
Kathua Club A defeated the rival winning all the three sets to emerge champion.
On the occasion, CRPF DIG, SC Sharma was chief guest, who was accompanied by CRPF 121Bn Commandant SS Rana and Additional Superintendent of Police, Khalil Ahamed Poswal and prominent citizens and players.
Mr Sharma distributed the prizes and trophies among the winners and runners-up teams.
The winning team was given the trophy, Rs 20, 000 cash prize and sports lit, while the runners-up team, Gurra Mundian Club was given Rs 15,000 cash prize and sports kit.
A total of eight teams participated in the tournament and all the teams were given the medals and sports kit to encourage themr. Sahil Sharma get man of the match with Rs 500 cash award, while Imtiaz Ahmed won the man of the series award of Rs 1,000 as cash prize alongwith a medal.
While addressing DIG said that CRPF is guarding the civil population and also making good relation with civil population.
