JAMMU, July 09: CRPF today inaugurated its Mobile Help Center van ‘SAATHI’ for the holy Amarnath pilgrims.
Since the commencement of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra on June 28, the commitment of CRPF for welfare and security of yatris seems unprecedented. On the one hand, CRPF is securing the yatra routes, yatri camps and other important places while on the other hand it is working enthusiastically towards helping the pilgrims.
Besides, the help desk, ‘Madadgaar’ at Jammu Tawi Railway Station and other information centers, the jawans of CRPF are providing every sort of assistance to pilgrims.
It is pertinent to mention here that before commencement of yatra, pilgrims from different parts of the country are accommodated in various yatri camps in Jammu for completion of formalities. Inspite of the help desk of CRPF at Bhagwati Nagar Base Camp here, a need was felt to provide help and information to yatris staying in other camps also. To achieve this objective, Mobile Help Center ‘SAATHI’ was inaugurated and flagged off by Abhay Vir Chauhan IG CRPF Jammu Sector.
CRPF personnel in the van will be visiting various camps in Jammu and apprising the pilgrims about the security measures to be kept in mind. They will also be providing other relevant information to the yatris. In addition, trained personnel of CRPF present in the van will be visiting various camps and provide first aid treatment to the people in need and will also be distributing medicines.
On this occasion, Abhay Vir Chauhan IG CRPF Jammu Sector reiterated that CRPF is known for its public friendly image and is committed towards helping the people. Among others present during the occasion were Mrs Nitu, DIG CRPF Jammu Range, MP Bahuguna DIG CRPF Jammu Sector, V.S. Pandey, Commandant CRPF Jammu Sector HQr and other officers and personnel of CRPF.
The Mobile Help Center van will be operating under the supervision of Neeraj Pandey Commandant 76 Bn CRPF.
