CRPF jawans trained in tackling stone pelting

JAMMU, Mar 24: The inauguration ceremony of 4th batch pre-induction training of J&K based battalions of CRPF was held today. The inauguration ceremony was presided over by A. K. Jha, Commandant 166 battalion C.R.P.F. in the presence of  S.L.C. Khup, DIGP Range Hiranagar-Cum-Supervisor ZTC, C.R.P.F, Nagrota, Shyam Gopal Gupta, M.O. GC Hiranagar and N. N. Singh, A/C 137 battalion /C.R.P.F. A handout said the aim of this training is to prepare the newly inducted personnel to handle the unique law & order problems of J&K especially Kashmir valley effectively within the ambit of law. Special focus is to devise ways and means to deal with stone pelting & offensive protest by unruly mob there through case studies, participative discussion and experience sharing by experienced officers and prominent guest lecturers.The essence of endeavour is to refreshing their knowledge of minor tactics and expertise on newly inducted equipments, ” it added.
After the inauguration ceremony, chief guest along with DIGP Range Hiranagar-Cum-Supervisor ZTC, C.R.P.F, Nagrota, other officers and trainees participated in the function. The programme was conducted by D.K. Jha, Second-in-Command-Cum-Incharge ZTC Nagrota Hiranagar.
