JAMMU, Jan 7: A CRPF Jawan died today due to suspected cardiac arrest in Channi Himmat area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, the deceased was identified as Head Constable Bodh Ram (46) son of Sultan Ram, resident of Rajasthan (at present G76 CRPF regiment, Channi police line).
He said that the Jawan suddenly collapsed in the Armed complex of the regiment. The Jawan was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors.
In this connection, inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC were initiated at police station Channi Himmat.
