Crime Patrol group installs 6 CCTVs in Samba

SAMBA Oct 12: In order to bring the Police-public relations to new heights as well as to keep check on crime in Samba town, a joint social youth group called Crime Patrol Samba having its 94 members from District Police Samba and media persons/volunteers, got installed six CCTV cameras at all the strategic locations of Samba town.
The CC TVs were installed at Samba Chowk, Bus Stand Sumb, Hari Singh Chowk,  Chohata Chowk, district Courts Complex Samba and Government Girls Higher Secondary School Samba, having their Control Station at Police Control Room functioning from the building of Police Station Samba.
All these CCTV Cameras were inaugurated today by  Joginder Singh, SSP Samba in the presence of  Pawan Sharma ADC Samba,  Varinder Singh DySP HQ Samba,  Neeraj Kumar DySP Operations Samba, Kulbhushan Sharma CPO Samba, Inspector Sanjeev Chib, SHO P/S Samba. These CCTV Cameras have been got installed by contributing amount by all the 94 Members from District Police Samba and Media Persons/Volunteers.
Pertinent to mention here that the Crime Patrol Samba having its members from District Police Samba in their joint efforts recently adopted Government Primary School Kapai, Nud Samba, distributed stationery items including school bags, umbrellas, water bottles, school shoes, juice, Amul milk, lunch boxes to students of the school to uplift the education of children of rural areas. The Social Youth Group also takes the responsibility of the maintenance of the School building like white wash, fencing, providing of ceiling fans, renovation of bathrooms etc.
It is worthwhile to mention here that one month back, the said Joint Social Youth Group took an initiative to repair and black-top the NHW from Samba Chowk to Dhiani where deep pits were developed resulting into fatal road accidents. Moreover, the Group is also active in Cleanliness drive in hospitals as well as other public places, drives against drug abuse etc and accordingly their works are being applauded by the general public in large. The said Joint Social Youth Group has also donated Rs. 3 lacs to the parents of a minor girl who is suffering for kidney failure and her treatment is presently going on at PGI Chandigarh.
