JAMMU, Oct 7: Cancer Awareness Workshop ‘Crab-e-Thon’ on sidelines of National level cancer conference ‘Crab-e-Con Chaturth’ organized by Lajwanti Bhagatnath Radiations of Hope today concluded with a high note with a resolve to eradicate sufferings of cancer.
Mahant Ravi Nath ji of Phir Kho Temple was special invitee who praised the commendable efforts by LBNROH and especially the efforts of Dr. Deepak Abrol for serving the mankind.
Crabethon was the first of its kind Teleoncothon live for 24 hours at stretch. The workshop ended with an elite panel comprising Prof. G.K.Rath, Head National Cancer Institute AIIMS Delhi, Dr. Rakesh Kapoor President AROINZ, Dr. Ashok Vaid, Chairman Medical Oncology Medanta, Dr. Shyam Shrivastav former Director Tata Memorial Mumbai and moderated by Dr Deepak Abrol.
The last panel discussed about cancer threadbare and was also joined by Dr Poornima Upadhaya from USA and Poonam Bagai President Cankids from Gurugram via video conferencing.
Valedictory function was held where awards were given to winners of oral and poster presentations. Specially designed ‘Atal Vani’ award was given to winners of ‘Atal Protsahan Satra’ in a session dedicated to Bharat Rattan Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Onco Ambassador Awards were given to those involved in cancer care.
Amit Sharma, Director CAPD Jammu lauded the efforts of organizers and extended whole hearted support for cancer awareness. Presenting vote of thanks, Dr Deepak Abrol thanked all those who supported in organizing this first ever live 24 hours Teleoncothon of the world.
